My Year in Photos – February 8th – “Just Trust Me…”

I had a lovely afternoon today, visiting one of our ace clients – the Princes Trust. As well as having brilliant offices overlooking Regents Park (though to be honest, the park doesn’t look too impressive in this weather!) they’re a lovely bunch of people doing some brilliant work, you know, for the yoovs innit?

Sadly, in all the times we’ve visited them, His Royal Highness (or Chaz, as I suspect he’d ask me to call him…) has never been there, so I remain firmly off any sort of Honours list for the time being :D

My Year in Photos – February 5th – “To Hammersmith, and step on it!”

These are the offices of the potential clients we went to meet with today, in glamorous Hammersmith. I *think* I’ve chosen a shot where you can’t see there otherwise-extensive branding (there’s no way I could have used one of the shots I took inside…!) because I was assuming it’s probably bad form (or bad luck!) to name them before we’ve started work with them. Either way, it was a pretty good meeting, so keep your fingers crossed!

I was going to include a shot of the ‘Fair Bake’ fun from work today, but I think I’ll save that for another day, as I can see that running for a while. If you want to know what I’m talking about, head over to Facebook and type in “The Fair Bake Movement”…!

My Year in Photos – January 19th – “MI5, not 9-to-5″

My Year in Photos – January 19th, originally uploaded by henweb.

My afternoon today involved a visit to the IAB HQ in Holborn, for the monthly Social Media Council meeting. As I arrived 10 minutes early, I got to take a trip to one of my favourite London sites, which is just down the road – the “United Grand Freemason’s Lodge of England” – or as a lot of people will know it, the MI5 Headquarters from TV’s Spooks! It’s a very impressive building even before you consider both it’s intriguing contents and it’s famous TV alter-ego. Last time I visited it, I bumped in to (literally) Director Paul Greengrass, who was directing Matt Damon in what I now know was the film “Green Zone”….

My Year in Photos – January 5th – “Beautiful sunrise”

My Year in Photos – January 5th, originally uploaded by henweb.

If the weather forecasts are to be believed, we’re heading for a week of heavy snow and general weather-based dsruption this week. If you’ve ever heard the phrase “Red sky at night, shepherds delight. Red sky at morning, shepherds warning” you won’t be surprised to have seen the amazingly bright-red sunrise we enjoyed this morning. This shot was taken in the very unglamorous locale of Heston services – the only place I could stop on my way in to work. There were some even nicer colours a bit earlier, but I didn’t want to risk photo-taking while driving at 70mph!
