It seems quite fitting that, as I reach the end of this #Project365, “My Year in Photos” quest, I should choose a photo that has been ‘enhanced’ using my new favourite photography secret – the iPhone app Instagram.

I think I’m going to take a break from the MYIP project this year – as fun as it was, I found myself getting a little stressed out by it occassionally, and next year is going to be QUITE a tiring one (more on that shortly). But I’ll still be taking photos – if you’re an iPhone user yourself, download Instagram and look me up for more photo-based fun!

At the end of a long but ultimately fruitful year, it’s nice to know I haven’t had to grow up TOO much – big thanks to my Mother-in-law for the only Lego set I received this year (pictured). I remember Christmases of yesteryear where I’d get at least 4 or 5 Lego sets from family – I guess people think that, being 31, you’re too old for it now? Well all I can say is, I’m glad Robert is nearly at the age where we can buy HIM (aka. me) Lego at last…!

We went in to “Pets at Home” today, as part of a medium-scale sales shopping trip. Robert particularly enjoyed looking at the hamsters, rabbits and fish – though he wasn’t particularly keen on this tank. I can’t imagine why….

The highlight of my Boxing Day today was sledging on the hill next to my parents’ house – a rather small hill it has to be said, but it was perfect for sledging with a two-year-old in your lap! Robert absolutely loved it – at least for the first 4 descents. I got some lovely photos too, with this being one of my favourite.

As with last year (due to a clerical error of sorts) we spent this Christmas at my parents’ house in Somerset – a very lovely place to spend Christmas I should add. Today’s photo was taken just before bedtime, when Santa had placed all of Robert’s presents (note: not all the presents in this photo were Robert’s!) in front of the fireplace. Excitement levels were at an all-year high…!

Despite most of the snow having melted here in Reading, our street seems to have escaped the big un-freeze, remaining a total ice rink. I was packing the car this evening for our cross-country Christmas trip, and almost broke my neck on the pavement several times. Still, it does wonders for the calf muscles, apparently…

Despite Wednesday being a very busy day at work, I’m once again resorting to a photo taken in the traffic on my way home, due to a lack of anything interesting to take any pictures of for the rest of the day. Today I had the pleasure of meeting comedy legend David Schneider – aka Alan Partridge’s nemesis (as Tony Hayers), The Day Today’s Sylvester Stuart, presenter of The Saturday Night Armistice, CBBC’s Uncle Max or – my personal favourite role – “Eurotunnel Driver” in Mission:Impossible.

David was doing some filming for a project we’re working on with The Prince’s Trust (one of Tamar’s clients) and was an *extremely* nice man – a real pleasure to meet!

He’s the one on the left, by the way – though I’m assuming you knew that…
