This evening was the night of the Tamar Christmas party, which I decided to drive to (and from) to avoid the risk of getting snowed-in after the party. It actually worked out very nicely on the way home – I got home in under an hour, which is at least half what it would have taken on the train. But the journey there was a total pain – almost two hours from Chiswick, just a few miles away. The Thursday evening London traffic was a total nightmare, not to mention my Sat-nav causing havoc – which is how we ended up sat in Picadilly Circus for what felt like hours…
